Out of thousands of entries, an MTU Crawford College of Art & Design alumnus - Stephen Doyle, BA Fine Art at MTU Crawford College of Art and Design (2014-17) - was selected to exhibit in the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize, the UK’s most prestigious annual open exhibition for drawing, reflecting a broad scope of contemporary drawing practice.

For its 2022 competition and exhibition, the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize received over 3,200 submissions from 1,617 drawing practitioners hailing from 45 countries.

The judging panel, Lucy Byatt, Danie Mellor and Isabel Seligman selected a shortlist of 113 drawings by 94 artists for the exhibition.

The Working Drawing Award is a category within the exhibition celebrating the role of drawing within architecture, design and making processes. 21 working drawings by 19 practitioners were selected by Niall Hobhouse, Tania Kovats, Daniel McAuliffe and Peter Clegg.

All of the award-winning and shortlisted works will be available to see in the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2022 exhibition.

The exhibition runs at Trinity Buoy Wharf in London from 29 September until 16 October 2022 before touring to venues across the UK.
