DCCI AGM attendees visit MTU Crawford College of Art & Design

We were delighted that attendees at the AGM of the DCCI (Design & Crafts Council of Ireland) came to visit us when their 2022 AGM was held in Cork.


We were delighted that attendees at the AGM of the DCCI (Design & Crafts Council of Ireland) came to visit us during their 2022 AGM held in Cork.

DCCI is the national agency for the commercial development of Irish designers and makers, stimulating innovation, championing design thinking and informing Government policy.

The AGM was hosted by @Glucksman Gallery on 16th June 2022 and the AGM received a video address by An Taoiseach, and proud Cork man, Micheal Martin, TD, who congratulated DCCI on an inspiring year including highlights such as the return of Showcase Ireland and the publication of the Irish Craft Heroes book.

Master basket-maker and Lifetime Achievement Award winner, Joe Hogan, delivered an important speech on Sustainability in Irish Craft. ⁠

Rosemary Steen, DCCI CEO, spoke about the ‘Circular by Design’ programme and how crucial it is to support Irish textile and apparel businesses to move to more sustainable and circular practices. ⁠

DCCI thanked the Glucksman Gallery, University College cork, Benchspace and MTU Crawford College of Art & Design for the venues for their activities on the day.
