Recent times have brought our awareness of wellbeing into sharp focus. We acknowledge its importance, but what is it exactly and how can we practically support it within teaching and learning?

Within MTU Crawford we have developed a number of initiatives that we can showcase – The Creativity Tonic website, the 5 Ways to Wellbeing Activities resource and a mobile studio bike project. In January we are hosting a Fulbright Scholar (Rhonda Schaller) who will work with lecturing staff to develop a toolkit of techniques to support wellness and build resilience, embedding positive pedagogy and mindfulness in our teaching practice.

An online talk and Q&A, delivered by Rhonda Schaller, will focus on wellbeing and positive pedagogy. The event will showcase existing MTU Crawford initiatives and raise awareness nationally around how wellbeing can be nurtured within teaching and learning. It will also provide space to consider the US and Irish perspectives in this context. We look forward to you joining us but, in the meantime, you might be interested in finding out a little more about our wonderful speaker, Rhonda here or MTU Crawford’s 'Five Ways to Wellbeing' Trello Board. Both of which will provide some helpful background to the session.

Attendance is free, but registration is necessary at the link HERE
