AREAS OF EXPERTISE:  JOURNALISM, DOCUMENTARY, PODCAST, VIDEOGRAPHY

Anne-Marie’s background is in journalism with over 20 years experience working for a wide range of broadcasters including RTE, Today FM and the Australian public service broadcaster SBS. These days, as well as lecturing, she continues to make documentaries both for film festivals as well as television and radio. Her current area of research is community activism in Ireland and challenging preconceptions about the motivation behind resistance.

Anne-Marie loves good stories and for her good stories centre on interesting people. This is true in all mediums- photography, podcasts, documentary or drama. Through her teaching in digital media and television production Anne-Marie strives to get students to explore their creative process and find at its heart a compelling narrative.
