AREAS OF EXPERTISE: RESPONSIBLE GRAPHIC COMMUNICATION DESIGN EDUCATION, VISUAL COMMUNICATIONS

Gwen’s research interest is in the use of personal values in Graphic Communication Design Education as means to encourage responsible design. She has published papers and conducted workshops at international conferences in this area, in action research as a methodology, and in typography. She collaborates nationally and internationally as part of her research.

She is currently the Year 4 co-ordinator on the Visual Communications Course and is regularly involved in supporting students throughout their final year, onto producing their annual Graduate Show. She currently educates in the area of typography and in broader design project modules.
