AREAS OF EXPERTISE: ART & TECHNOLOGY

Dr Paul Green has a primary degree in Fine Art and an MA by Research in 3D Visualisation. In 2018 he completed his PhD which explored narrative in creative art and design practices.

Paul worked on European projects developing interactive content for applications related to language learning and environmental awareness and since 2006 has been a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Media Communications. He has supervised students on undergraduate and postgraduate research projects up to PhD.

Paul’s research interests are practice-led and lie in the crossover between technology, art and design. In his practice he makes use of traditional media, software, and interactive technologies. His academic interest focusses on how narrative theory can be utilised by creative practitioners presenting their knowledge as research. He has curated exhibitions in art and science and was previously funded to investigated exhibition strategies in public and private museums across the UK and Ireland.
