AREA OF EXPERTISE: PAINTING

Colin received a BA in Fine Art from MTU Crawford College of Art & Design and an MA in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Art, University of Arts London. His painting practice investigates ideas relating to current politics, collective memory and migration whilst drawing upon iconographies of popular storytelling and traditions of historical painting. Colin has taken part in numerous exhibitions in Ireland and internationally including selected solo and group exhibitions recently at Irish Art Centre, (New York); Solas Nua, Arts Centre (Washington, D.C); 6th Biennial of Painting, Zagreb, Croatia; RAUM Galerie (Dusseldorf, Germany); Glucksman Gallery (Cork); Oonagh Young Gallery (Dublin); Matthias Erngtes Galerie (Düsseldorf, Germany); Sirius Arts Centre (Cobh, Cork); Temple Bar Gallery (Dublin); Goodman Arts Centre (Singapore). Colin is also the recipient of numerous awards and residencies including Arts Council of Ireland Bursary, Culture Ireland Award, Temple Bar Gallery studio residency (Dublin), Red Mansion Foundation residency (Beijing, China). Public art collections include Arts Council of Ireland, Trinity College Dublin, University College Cork, Office Public Works.
