AREAS OF EXPERTISE:  GLASS & PAINTING

Debbie Dawson is an artist and educator. She has worked with glass for 30 years. A graduate of Crawford & NCAD, she has extensive lecturing experience including the College of Fine Arts in Shanghai, Corning Museum of Glass in New York, Bildwerk, in Germany and several artist-in-prison schemes. She established a student exchange between Crawford and Shanghai University. She is a former chairperson of the Glass Society of Ireland. Her practice is rooted in painting and glass and deals with the human condition. Her current research is concerned with themes of absence and loss. Debbie has shown work both nationally and internationally including USA, Shanghai, Denmark & Germany.  Debbie’s work is in both private and public collections including the National Museum of Ireland.
