AREAS OF EXPERTISE:  ART THERAPY

Aideen originally completed her BSocSci in UCD before moving into the Arts and completing her MA in Art Therapy in CCAD. She is a Senior Art Therapist and Supervisor working in Specialist Palliative Care. She has a particular passion for the role of the Arts in Health Care Settings.   She has presented at several international conferences and is engaging in ongoing clinical based research in this area.  Aideen is also an educator in the field of Art Therapy and has pioneered Art Therapy courses across various 3rd level educational settings. She has over 10 year’s experience working in palliative care, private practice and community based mental health settings in Ireland, South Africa and New Zealand. Aideen's work spans the generations and she feels passionate about the role of Art Therapy in working with people from all stages of life. She is an accredited member of IACAT (The Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapies).
